Orlando Florida bagpiper Reginald Lyle has been playing the Great Highland Bagpipe since 1999. He achieved the rank of Pipe Sergeant in the Orlando Regional Police & Fire Pipes & Drums prior to assuming the position of Pipe Major of Rosie O'Grady's Highlanders in 2004. The band has subsequently enjoyed success in the competition arena, earning Champion Supreme awards from the Southern United States Pipe Band Assn for the 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2009 seasons.

Reginald is available for hire throughout the Central Florida area to make your special occasion memorable. He is experienced in piping for weddings, funerals, graduations, and golf outings. If you have a need for more than one player, he can work with you to facilitate the hiring of an entire pipe band or a smaller ensemble to suit your needs.

Weddings:

Looking to honor your Celtic roots on the most important day of your life? It has become increasingly popular to have a piper lead you down the aisle. It's just not official, unless you've been piped in! Reginald has played for dozens of weddings and can work alone to provide all the music for your ceremony or can work with other musicians to make your wedding special. One very popular choice is the tune, Highland Cathedral, played as a duet between the bagpipe and the pipe organ.

Graduation:

If you'd like to add a little pomp and circumstance to your next graduation ceremony, including a piper in your procession will definitely make an impact. Reginald has extensive experience in this arena and currently pipes graduations for the University of Central Florida, Barry and Barry Law Universities, University of Phoenix, Gulf Coast Community College, University High School and Boone High School.

Golf Tournaments:

The two most universally known icons of Scotland are bagpipes and golf (followed closely by haggis and Scotch whisky, of course!). Reginald has performed for tournaments at Clearwater Country Club, Country Club of Orlando (seen in this photo taken during the annual Classy Lassies tournament), DeBary Golf & Country Club, Interlachen Country Club, Bay Hill and others. Funerals:

The mournful skirl of the bagpipe playing a lament touches the heart like no other instrument. Reginald can assist you in honoring your departed loved one at the church and/or the graveside.
